Wow 2o07 already?

Oh wow, how time flies. im gonna miss the 'happening' moments of 2006. Maybe i'll try to forget the part where i spent nearly 1/4 of the year feeling depressed over the break-up. But other than that 2006 was extremely eventful for me. Especially the time i spent at tekong. The bunkmates. The days and nights filled with laughter. All the winning eleven moments. The pocong by the bedside, the (iiim gonaaaa screeeeew yer arse!!!) by our platoon commander, the mosquitoes, the baaaiiiiik siolz, the she-man at the barber shop, the roti john, the nasi lemak, hell i even miss the smelly recruits.

Then i of course got shipped out to brunei. Quite frankly, 3 months on, the place seems to have grown on me. I remember sitting in the taxi on the way home from the airport, and seeing all the cars whizzing past me. The buildings around. The people. It was like whoa, I immediately missed the serenity and charm of temburong. The clean and easy lifestyle of the villagers there. Dont get me wrong, once a city boy always a city boy but after experiencing a different culture which is so laidback that even phones are not important, im beginning to really dislike living in singapura.

The crowds, the materialistic fashionistas, the impatience, the endless emphasis on money, education and race. And the bruneian girls. Fair skinn beauties, with red lips and flowing BLACK hair. yes black. not those imitation excuse for blond tresses on the youth of today.

ok im just angry and sexually depraved. forgive me.

So anyways the new year calls for new resolutions, but i seem to have the same one ever year, so whats the use. Things in brunei are not getting better. Morale among us drivers is still high but our tolerance towards the new specs and our Mto is wearing thin. Since there is no troops training here, were all subjected to sai kang work. All the rovers, unimogs and boats have a new coat of paint. The mtline itself looks brand new. The only thing i want to paint now though is my Mto's face.

Oh well 5 more months to eot and 7 more to ord. Time is flying by. But not fast enough.
